Chef Peter Leigh Gallin is owner of Applewood Northwest Cuisine and Catering, and a devotee to fresh, healthy Northwest cuisine. He owns a restaurant and catering company and is a cooking instructor at his own school, Cooking with Chef Peter Leigh and teaches classes based on Northwest cookery as well as the cuisine’s of the world.
He is a graduate of the California Culinary Academy located in San Francisco, California with a curriculum focused on classical French cooking techniques. He has worked as a chef since graduation in 1988, both as a caterer as well as at numerous restaurants around North America.
He is a world traveler who has time living in Asia and all over North America, including the East and West Coast, the deep South, Southwest and the mid-west.
His hobbies include photography, Ducati and KTM motorcycles, tennis, motorcycle touring and enjoying good food, fine wine and vodka.

Peter brought up three really great cats, but now sadly, they live with their mom…
